Your Home Is More Than Walls and Furniture

It’s a living system that shapes how you feel, think, and move through your days. When your environment is aligned—physically, emotionally, and energetically—everything else starts to flow differently.

At Happy Home Ithaca, we work with the whole picture: the visible and the invisible, the practical and the sacred, the outer space and your inner landscape.

A Holistic Approach to Home

Most people approach home transformation from one angle—organize the clutter, pick pretty colors, clear the energy. But these dimensions aren’t separate. They’re interwoven.

We work with three interconnected layers:

Physical

The tangible aspects of your space: layout, organization, color, furniture, flow. This is what you can see, touch, and arrange.

Psychological

How your space makes you feel: the stories you carry, the blocks that keep you stuck, the clarity you need to move forward. This is the inner work that creates lasting change.

Energetic

The subtle dimensions: the quality of energy in each room, how your home holds (or releases) what’s happened there, the resonance between you and your environment. This is what you sense but can’t always name.

When we address all three together,
transformation isn't just surface-level—it's foundational.

What makes this different?

You won’t be judged. No matter how overwhelmed your space feels right now, we approach every project with compassion and respect. Your pace, your priorities, your comfort—always.

It’s not just about aesthetics. Beautiful rooms are wonderful, but what matters most is how your space makes you feel. We design for your nervous system, your daily rhythms, and your soul—not just for how it looks in photos.

We collaborative. You stay in the driver’s seat. We listen deeply, offer skilled guidance, and help you make choices that feel truly right—never forcing a style or system that doesn’t fit who you are.

You choose your depth. Want purely practical support? Perfect. Ready for deeper emotional and spiritual work? We’re here for that too. Every service can be tailored to meet you exactly where you are.

The work is holistic. We address what you can see (clutter, layout, color) and what you can’t (energy, flow, emotional patterns). Every space has both physical and subtle dimensions, and we work with both.

What Changes Beyond the Space

When we work on all three levels—physical, emotional, energetic—clients report transformations that extend far beyond their walls:

  • Improved sleep and reduced anxiety
  • Feeling more “at home” in themselves
  • Greater ease in daily routines
  • Increased clarity and creativity
  • Deeper connection with family and self
  • A sense of peace they didn’t know was possible
  • Release of old patterns and stories
  • Forward momentum in other areas of life

Your home becomes a foundation—a place that holds you, reflects you, and helps you become more yourself.

Meet Nalasa

"My gift is helping people feel at home."

Nalasa Cutler is the founder of Happy Home Ithaca and a holistic designer who bridges the practical, emotional, and spiritual dimensions of space.

Her journey with home began early. By age thirteen, she had moved thirteen times, witnessing how instability and chaos affect our sense of safety and belonging. Those experiences planted a lifelong question: How can our environments support healing, clarity, and wholeness?

She spent over a decade traveling the world—40+ countries, studying vernacular architecture, and learning from diverse wisdom traditions. From Balinese home compounds organized around a central alter to Andean villages where building is understood as reciprocity with the Earth, she gathered insight into how humans create sanctuary across cultures.

After earning her degree in Interdisciplinary Studies at UC Berkeley (focus: Human Behavior & Cultural Analysis), Nalasa founded her holistic design practice in 2019. She has since supported individuals and families through major life transitions: new moves, renovations, downsizing, post-loss reorganizing, and full home transformations.

Nalasa co-authored Navigating Home: Restoring Wholeness with Earth–Together (Flower of Life Press, 2025), exploring the dynamic relationship people have with their living environments. She is trained as an Evolutionary Dowsing Practitioner and draws from environmental psychology, cross-cultural design wisdom, and trauma-informed practice.

Her approach is deeply human-centered: she listens closely, designs thoughtfully, and guides clients toward spaces that feel warm, intentional, and truly lived in. Whether working with college students setting up their first dorm or families creating multi-generational homes, she brings the same core belief: when our home supports us on every level, life becomes lighter, clearer, and more aligned.
